She ran to his house and cried for hours in his arms while he held her in his bed. Their employer tells the staff at every meeting that if any of the coworkers are found to be romantically involved, they will be fired on the spot. Nothing like that has happened. Emma has stayed away from men since her betrayal by her fiancé five years ago. Mike is her friend.
Until……This short story was so beautifully and tenderly written. I was mesmerized by it.
I discovered this book and author on Facebook. I knew going in it was a short story, which isn’t my thing, but it was done well. Putting us into the scene quickly, keeping us there and in the moment, and then the HEA. A five star book for sure! Now, I’m off to bug the author to make this an a novel!
A quick, spicy little friends to lovers romance! Just what I was looking for! I loved the banter they had and also the quick backstory to their friendship added the right amount of plot!
